Hunter Page-Lochard is a writer, director and actor. Most recently, Hunter directed for the animation series Thalu, for Weeianna Street Media and the Australian Children’s Television Fund. Hunter is currently in development on his next short film, Closed Doors for Bunya Productions, which he will co-write and co-direct.
As well as presenting ABC’s long standing children’s series Playschool, Hunter has recently written for the series. He has also written for ABC’s returning children’s series, The Wonder Gang.
His short film Djali which he wrote, directed and starred in premiered at the 2018 Sydney Film Festival.
An established actor, he was most recently seen in ABC’s award-winning series Les Norton as well as in the forensic crime series Harrow for the ABC. Hunter played titular character Cleverman in ABC’s ground breaking series Cleverman, which premiered at the 2016 Berlin Film Festival, aired on SUNDANCE TV in the US, and earned Hunter a nomination for the Graham Kennedy Most Outstanding Newcomer Logie Award.
Hunter made his feature film debut in Rachel Perkins’ award winning film, Bran Nue Dae. His other feature film credits include Spear, which premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, The Sapphires, which screened in Official Selection at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and Around the Block which screened at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival.
His other television credits include Wentworth, the ABC’s series Soul Mates, Nine Network’s Water Rats, SBS’ East West 101, Tidelands for Netflix and NiTV’s series Shadow Trackers.
