Megan Burslem is a radio presenter and host of Classic Breakfast on ABC Classic. In previous years, she was the host of Mornings on ABC Jazz and Classic Drive on ABC Classic. When she is not hosting music radio, you can hear Megan as guest host on various ABC Radio Melbourne shows.

Megan has developed a career around speaking and writing about music in a way that’s entertaining, accessible and funny. She’s an in-demand speaker for keynote addresses, lectures, panels, concert talks and more.

Before moving into radio and presenting, Megan completed extensive music training. She has a PhD in Musicology and Ethnomusicology which she completed with the Australian Postgraduate Award. She is also a classical violist with a Masters of Music Performance, and a trained music and humanities teacher. Megan was an Associate Lecturer at Monash University and Senior Lecturer at the Australian Guild of Music Education, specialising in non-practical music education.

Megan brings warmth, flirtatiousness and authenticity to everything she does, with and without a microphone.

She is based in Melbourne, and grew up in the rural coastal town of Lakes Entrance, Victoria.
