Josh SzepsCorporate Speaker | Presenter

Josh is one of Australia’s most influential and innovative interviewers.

He started out doing satirical comedy, writing sketches and impersonating public figures on the Mike Carlton Breakfast Show on Radio 2UE.

He moved to New York City to do improv comedy at UCB Theatre with Saturday Night Live alumni like Amy Poehler. He got a weekly show on Discovery Science Channel, taking an irreverent look at science news.

What put Josh on the map was being snapped up by the Huffington Post, the most-read online news site in the world, as a founding host of their new streaming talk TV network.

As host-producer of HuffPost Live, Josh hosted thousands of hours of live TV with the biggest names in politics, news and entertainment. He won a Webby Award while the organisation won a Pulitzer.

NBC noticed, and gave Josh a regular segment with Al Roker on the NBC TODAY Show.

When Josh started a family, Australia’s ABC lured him home to Sydney. He hosted a panel show on Radio National; anchored the national morning TV show; Weekend Breakfast; and became a fixture of ABC Radio Sydney. The public broadcaster gave Josh a three-hour daily talkback radio show, Afternoons with Josh Szeps.

In 2024 Josh left the legacy media in order to wrestle freely with ideas in a spicier way. Uncomfortable Conversations with Josh Szeps took off as a podcast, Substack publication, live touring enterprise and YouTube channel. With ten million downloads, it is among the most listened-to Australian interview shows in the world.

Josh lives in Sydney with his husband and twins. Surprisingly, he hates Scrabble.
