Danielle Walker grew up in Far North Queensland eradicating feral pigs, swimming in creeks, and foraging for wild raspberries.
She is known for her off beat comedy. In 2015 she moved from Townsville to Melbourne to pursue stand-up comedy. In 2016 she won Australia’s largest comedy competition RAW Comedy. In 2018 she won the coveted Best Newcomer award at the Melbourne International comedy festival (MICF) with her debut stand-up show BUSH RAT which secured her a solo run at the Soho Theatre in London. Her 2022 show NOSTALGIA caught a Most Outstanding Show nomination at MICF and took out The Pinder Prize along with helping her take the show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2023 she won the first season of TASKMASTER AUSTRALIA.
She will next be seen in Stan’s upcoming dark-comedy series SUNNY NIGHTS. Her other television credits include the third series of ABC’s FISK, the ABC/CBS co-production GOLD DIGGERS as ‘Marigold Brewer’ for which she received a ‘Best Lead Actress in a Comedy’ Logie nomination, and as ‘Ranger Danny’ alongside stars Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney on ABC TV’s GET KRACK!N.
