Brendan Jones is well known as co-host of WSFM’s number one breakfast radio show Jonesy and Amanda in the Morning.
He started his radio career on community station 2BCR Bankstown and his big radio break came in 1990 with a night job at 6KA Karratha. This was followed by 2NM Muswellbrook, i98fm Wollongong, B105 Brisbane, Triple M Brisbane and Triple M Sydney where he achieved the highest daytime rating for the station.
Brendan and his co-host, Amanda, won the 2024, 2023 & 2019 Australian Commercial Radio Awards for Best On-Air Radio Team. He has previously won four Australian Commercial Radio Awards and been nominated for seven in total, including four for Best On-Air Radio Team.
Brendan makes regular appearances on television shows, including The Today Show, Today Extra, Studio 10 and Australia Now and Then. He has hosted Off the Record, Australia’s Greatest Footy Fan and Do it Green. He has also appeared on The Trophy Room, The Morning Show, Joker Poker, The Footy Show, The Project and the popular culture show 20 to 1. Jonesy had a supporting role in the comedy series Swift and Shift Couriers and featured in the TV Series Housos as a journalist, a role he also played in Fat Pizza and the feature film Fat Pizza vs Housos. He also bared all in The Real Full Monty, competed on Dancing with The Stars and was a celebrity judge on Bogan Hunters.
In 2017 Brendan released his first book “Fifty Shades of 50”, an amusing memoir of growing up in suburban Sydney and following his dream to be a radio DJ.
Brendan, who is a keen motorbike enthusiast, has co- hosted Temporary Australians and has been a columnist with Live to Ride Magazine. He also the narrated Motorbike Cops on the Seven Network.
