Stuart is an experienced and sought-after writer and EP who co-created, produced and led the script team on all three seasons of the critically acclaimed drama TOTAL CONTROL (ABC). The series has earned several accolades over the years, including being awarded Best Drama Series at the 2019 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards, and being nominated in the same category in 2021 and 2025. The series also received two Logie award nominations across 2022 and 2024, and as the writer of the pilot episode, Stuart picked up an AACTA nomination for Best Screenplay in 2021.

In additional credits, Stuart wrote and script produced on the second series of the popular series THE SECRET DAUGHTER (Seven Network)  and on the first two series of the murder mystery THE DOCTOR BLAKE MYSTERIES (ABC). He also wrote for the acclaimed sci-fi drama CLEVERMAN (ABC/Sundance TV), which won a Screen Producers Australia award for Best Drama Series Production in 2017. He also served as a writer on the cult prison series WENTWORTH (Foxtel), which screened in over twenty countries and earned him an Australian Writers’ Guild Award (AWGIE).

Stuart’s other television credits include HALIFAX: RETRIBUTION (Nine Network), the ABC/Screentime dramas JANET KING and CROWNIES, the serials HOME AND AWAY (Seven Network) and NEIGHBOURS (Channel 10), and the police drama BLUE HEELERS (Seven Network/Southern Star).

Stuart is working on a number of projects for television.
