Sneh Roy believes in the art of visual storytelling. She is an award winning photographer and food blogger based in Sydney, Australia. A computer engineer by qualification and a creative director by trade, Sneh works out of her Sydney studio and has a niche focus – food design and development. Her food blog Cook Republic came into being in 2005 and has grown into one of Australia’s leading food and lifestyle blogs. Cook Republic won the national titles of Best Australian Blog and Best Lifestyle Blog in 2013 by the prestigious Australian Writer’s Centre. Sneh was judged one of the Top Food & Wellbeing Voices In Australia in 2013 and has also won Best Food Photographer in Australia in 2011.
Sneh manages every aspect of the blog from content creation, recipe development, cooking, writing, styling, propping, photographing, marketing and design. Cook Republic is featured regularly in local and international publications with a massive following in Australia, US, UK, Germany and India. Sneh’s photography and recipes have been published in leading magazines like SBS Feast, Women’s Fitness, The Simple Things (UK), Food & Wine (US), Bon Appetit (US), Veggie (German) and The Huffington Post.
Sneh has a regular food column in the ELLE Australia magazine for which she creates, styles and shoots new recipes and lifestyle editorial every month. She also has a food column in her local newspaper. Sneh’s first 240 page cookbook titled Tasty Express was published by Random House in Australia in mid 2014. The book’s focus was on fresh, fun and wholesome recipes for people on the go.
