Lucas Crandles and Timothy Nash are directors, writers and creators of content across multiple platforms, including film, television, and digitally distributed work. The pair have created a diverse range of projects, including their comedy The Weatherman which follows the life of Tony Turpinson, the most insecure man in television who desperately tries to remain relevant in the increasingly hostile and competitive world of television. The Weatherman is currently in development for the US.
They are also developing a half-hour comedy series titled GRRM, a unique and hilarious take on the life of George RR Martin, who needs to deliver his next book before the hit television show based off his novels overtakes him. We follow George as he suffers through severe writer’s block in the lead up to his looming deadline. Other projects include animated comedy Wentworth & Buxbury (Best Writing – 2008 New York Television Festival; Best Animation – 2009 Independent Television Festival, Los Angeles); a sci-fi feature film Sion, and a comedy feature.
The pair have also worked on several Australian television productions: as editors on the Nine Network’s Top Gear Australia; editors/videographers on the ABC’s The Gruen Transfer and Gruen Planet; and as producers/editors/videographers on MTV Australia’s first local reality production, Freshwater Blue.
