David Chidlow is a writer, director, published author and playwright. He has made a number of short films, one which was selected for ‘Best of Fest selection’ at Raindance, and another of which was selected to promote the British Independent Film Awards. In 2006, he wrote and produced an episode of Bryan Brown’s Two Twisted which was directed by Rachel Ward.
David is currently developing several feature film projects including Fly Away Peter with producer Mark Overett (Unfinished Sky), Men of Steel with Margaret Matheson (Lore), and The Last Day of the Space Age (Beth Fry; Circe Films) about a Perth teenager coming to grips with life, dreams, love and a doomed American spaceship (AWGIE nominated for Best Unproduced Screenplay 2005).
David’s work straddles many genres but is always flavoured with an intelligence, wit and sophistication of a life well lived.
