Christine Bartlett is a highly sought-after writer for both film and television. She wrote six seasons of the acclaimed television series Offspring; Party Tricks for Endemol Shine; The Wrong Girl for Playmaker Media; Mr & Mrs Murder for Fremantle Media; and the award-winning House Husbands for Playmaker Media. She most recently wrote episodes of Playing For Keeps, and is currently writing Five Bedrooms for Hoodlum, which she co-created.
Christine’s debut feature, The Wedding Party, screened as the Opening Night film of the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2010 and was voted the most popular Australian film of the festival. The Wedding Party went on to screen at more than 20 international film festivals, collecting numerous awards including Best Feature Film at New York City International Film Festival, Best International Feature at the Manhattan Film Festival, Best Film at the Los Angeles Movie Awards, and both Best Film and Best Screenplay at Los Angeles Comedy Festival.
Christine’s short film Tickler, directed by Clayton Jacobson (Kenny), picked up the Tropicana Award at Tropfest Short Film Festival in 2001 and went on to win numerous awards, screening in festivals worldwide including the Manhattan Film Festival and The Bradbury Festival, London.
